Closing Process Group

The Closing Process Group is the final phase in the project management life cycle, following the Monitoring and Controlling Process Group. During this phase, the project is formally completed, and its closure is documented. It includes only one following process:

1. Close Project: This process involves finalizing all activities across all project management process groups to formally close the project or phase.

The Closing Process Group marks the formal end of the project and is critical for ensuring that project outcomes are achieved, resources are properly released, and lessons learned are captured for future improvement. It represents the culmination of the project management process and sets the stage for transitioning to new initiatives or activities.
